Caroline's By The Bay in Somers Point

Service although slow was extremely friendly. Food was average and would not recommend the flatbreads. Crust was cracker thin and just as hard.

Stopped in after going to the beach. We chose indoor seating since the band was extremely loud and not to our musical liking. Not a sole dining inside and waitress wanted to sit us at the high top bar table, when regular tables were clearly available/cleaned. The menu offered fish & chips & when I asked what the fish was, the waitress said “cod- its the only fish we serve.” I decided to try it but was not impressed. It was fried cod, in a very plain breading with no flavor at all. The fish was undercooked in some parts and had no flavor at all. Shortly after the meal, I suffered from terrible stomach pains and what appeared to be food poisoning.

Let another party cut in line because they knew the waitress. I talked to the manager and he blew me off. We will never go back. Plus the food isn't very good. Alot of better places are around, don't waste your time or money here.

Had a great meal with my family yesterday. Really enjoyed the attentive service, tasty food, and fun atmosphere. New/renovated dining room looks great. You really can’t beat the outdoor deck and location. Will be back again!

Had dinner here last night,on the outdoor deck and absolutely loved everything about Caroline's!! I most definitely will return soon!

Cool place, great lunch service and the food was good. Best wings I've had at the beach. My blackened salmon was way too salty though. The bread was very fresh and the onion rings were great too. Nice view from the deck.

Caroline's is always a great place to stop by to see friends or go with friends or to meet people there. The staff is really good.It's a fun place, with live bands very often, and an open mic night on Wednesdays which is always fun.

Beautiful & Breezy Cool spot on the bay-even on a super hot day-loved the back deck bar! Bartender Pam was fun and attentive! Pizza was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

Wow. What else can I say. Wow. Caesar salad, two different burgers, mozzarella sticks... so much beautiful food all around. A bit pricey but as soon as you taste it you’ll be completely fine with the prices. Not super bad. Like $12 for a burger. Go here. You will not be disappointed

What a find!! First, this place probably has the best staff I have ever come across. Our waitress Jessica really was amazing. We have two young kids and they both loved her as well as she was always friendly with them. Second. The menu was very diverse and made it hard to decide as everything sounded great. Well food tastes even better then it sounded. Everything was amazing and unique from the apps to the entrees to the dessert. Tough to find a great place like this from beginning to end. The chef even came out and talked with us, I was very impressed. With it being winter the outside deck was closed but I could only imagine in the warmer months how great the atmosphere really is, but for it being January this place was very cozy. As we were leaving they had a live band setting up. Wish we could’ve stayed but had to get the kids home to bed. Can’t wait to go back again.

Stopped in for lunch and had an awesome meal (seafood and apps). We sat on the deck and enjoyed beautiful bay views while we ate. The service was friendly and quick. Felt like part of the family and can't wait to go back! Side note - the new indoor restaurant seating is lovely and upgraded! The indoor bar has a very cool pub feel and the bar staff were so helpful and nice!!

My band Quasimodo's bride loves this place! Excellent staff great patrons! Great menu. Kitchen is open late. Excellent atmosphere. Live bands every weekend.

Great live bands play All Summer Long. The food in the restaurant area is outstanding. Outdoor deck seating with a great View, especially at sunset. Just a great place to come for dinner and stay for the entertainment.

Very aware of COVID precautions. Service was excellent. Food is average at best. I don't go out much at all due to the risk, was hoping for better food.

Calories By The Bay is awesome! The open mic night is superior. The musicians and band is spectacular!

Even with the current situation with Covid, we were greeted and seated quickly on an outdoor deck. Bartenders took our drink orders quickly and the frozen drinks were very good. Servers were friendly and food came out quickly. We ordered several appetizers as our meal, based on what we wanted and what the server recommended. These were excellent. We will definitely go back.

Food is good ..

I have spent a lot of money at Carolines. I love the bartenders, food and staff. But tonight I was kicked out because someone pushed the person I was with on the ground. 3 men got in my face and called me names. As I woman I don’t appreciate being treated like that. Especially after being to Carolines many times, spending lots of money and never having any issues. I love Carolines. But the way I was treated by the bouncer “Walt” I felt horrible and embarrassed. Sadly, I won’t return here.

Great place for Live music & to meet locals. Friendly staff along with good munchies.

So we are frequent flyers at Caroline's for many years because of the live entertainment, the local atmosphere and many other reasons. Anyway, we booked a graduation party for my son in the back restaurant room. I can't say enough about how well the party went!! The food was great, came out on time, the head chef Dave and also Mike were phenomenal, couldn't have been nicer or more gracious, couldn't do enough for us, Mary the owner and her daughter Caroline were SO friendly and helpful, and our server Nicole was just terrific and on top of everything!! Would highly recommend this place for any event that you would want to have. The price was reasonable---also the bartenders are some of the nicest you will ever meet!!! The bouncers are great guys also!!! Throw in a great location by the bay, an outdoor deck, live music year-round, and you have the BEST best place in the area to go for fun!!! Came in with a group of 8. We were seated quickly. Ordered steamers and fried shrimp. Decent but not worth the price

Not the cleanest! We sat outside and had pizza. It was good, not great. Plenty of room in the dinning rooms. I suppose it is worth a visit, if the other places are too busy.

Nice bar with a water view. The bar tenders were very attentive. They have a full bar and have live music on weekends. They are redoing the kitchen and dining room so they had a limited bar food menu. The chili, burgers, and hummus were all good.

Ask for Angelica - she's awesome!!! Korean pig wings were amazing.

Inconsistent. I think I'm done with this place. The drinks are back to being weak again. I'm going elsewhere where they can keep a consistent product.

Classic Jersey shore bar welcoming young folks and old-timers, locals and vacationers, regulars and one-offers comfortably together. Lots of live music. BONUS - more than pleasantly surprised by the new menu and chef skills emanating from the adjoining restaurant and kitchen as of Dec 2019 - outstanding, actually! Sandwiches to full meals with top-restaurant quality - well beyond bar food expectations. Really nice bartenders, too!

The New people running the Kitchen are amazing. They have a new menu this year full of fresh seafood. I had the shrimp ad crab dip and it was amazing. For dinner we had the New England style fish and chips and the Crab cake dinner incredible. Also a complete renovation of the dining room. It's like a brand new restaurant in Somers Point.
